In most cases, home insurance will only cover property damage that is unexpected and accidental. Termite damage arises as a result of gradual occurrence and is considered preventable, making this an exclusion to average home insurance policies.

Termite damage, therefore, is not covered by home insurance and becomes the responsibility of the homeowner.

Termite treatments require ongoing maintenance to keep your property protected from these pests. As part of the termite management system, you will need to schedule an annual termite inspection.

This will depend on the severity of the infestation and the size of the property. A typical treatment can be completed in about 60 plus minutes. However, if the property has an active infestation, this can last longer.

Q: Can I stay inside my home during the procedure?

Depending on the type of pest you have, many chemicals used for pest control are safe for humans and pets in general. If you are sensitive and or have allergies, we will accordingly advise you before the procedure.

Q: What do I need to do right after the treatment is done?

To make the treatment effective, we advise that you let the chemicals sit for a while after the treatment. Avoid mopping or other cleaning regimes that might hamper the effects.
