Termite Inspections
Full-property inspection covering the home, any outbuildings, and nearby native timber stands that can harbour colonies before they reach a structure.
More on termite inspections →City of Logan and Scenic Rim Region (split locality), QLD
Undullah is one of the most sparsely populated localities we service, just 24 residents at the 2021 census, spread across what was once a 30,000-acre pastoral run straddling the Logan City and Scenic Rim boundary.
The name itself comes from an Aboriginal word for silver-leafed ironbark, and that native hardwood still stands across much of the locality today. With properties this large and this far apart (roughly 70km south-west of Brisbane) pest control Undullah is as much about logistics and native-timber bushland as it is about any single house. Bob Gunn Termite & Pest Control has worked this part of the corridor for 25+ years.

With a population this small spread across former 30,000-acre run land, Undullah properties tend to be large, remote and bordered by ironbark bushland rather than other houses. Pest control Undullah visits need to plan for long driveways, extensive timber boundaries and native hardwood stands that can host termite colonies well away from any structure, long before activity becomes visible closer to home. We scope every termite treatment Undullah and general pest control Undullah job around that scale.
Undullah isn't a typical suburb; it's remnant pastoral country with a handful of large properties and a name that literally means ironbark country. A pest control Undullah provider needs to understand large-acreage logistics and native hardwood bushland, not just a standard suburban termite check.
Our pest control Undullah service is built for the scale of the locality, far fewer properties than a typical suburb, but each one significantly larger and more exposed to native bushland.

More on termite inspections →Barrier systems designed for Undullah's large rural blocks, accounting for extensive native hardwood boundaries rather than a standard perimeter.
More on termite treatment →Treatment for ants, cockroaches and spiders moving in from surrounding ironbark bushland, common across this remote stretch of the corridor.
More on general pest control →Baiting and exclusion sealing for rats and mice moving from paddocks and bushland into sheds and homes on isolated acreage.
More on rodent control →Undullah's name comes from an Aboriginal word for silver-leafed ironbark, a hardy native hardwood still common across the locality. Henry Herbert Elliot first ran cattle on the land, and in 1848 John Cameron formally established the Undullah Run, a vast 30,000-acre pastoral holding. The Crown Lands Alienation Act of 1868 later opened part of that run to freehold selection, and the locality's modern boundaries weren't set until 1997. As recently as 2016, the eastern section of Undullah was split off entirely to create the new suburbs of Monarch Glen and Flinders Lakes, shrinking Undullah itself to the quiet, sparsely populated area it is today.
What's left is genuinely low-density: just 24 residents across a locality straddling the Logan City and Scenic Rim boundary, roughly 70km south-west of Brisbane. The native ironbark that gave the area its name still stands across large stretches of the remaining land, and that kind of native hardwood bushland is exactly the terrain where termite colonies establish and persist undisturbed for years, simply because there's so much ground and so few people walking it regularly.
For pest control purposes, Undullah properties need a different kind of attention than a standard suburban visit: more ground to cover, more native timber to check, and longer gaps between inspections if nobody's specifically looking. We plan every Undullah visit around that scale rather than treating it like a typical quarter-acre job.
Alongside pest control Undullah, we service the neighbouring suburbs that were once part of the same pastoral run, including the newer communities carved off its eastern side.

Undullah's properties are large and spread out, with native ironbark bushland boundaries rather than suburban fence lines. We plan for more ground to cover and more timber to check per visit than a standard suburban job.
Yes. Silver-leafed ironbark and similar native hardwood stands are exactly the kind of undisturbed timber termite colonies establish in long-term, often well before any activity becomes visible near a house.
We recommend at least annual inspections, since remote properties often go longer between anyone checking outbuildings or boundary timber for early signs of activity.
Yes. We service Monarch Glen and Flinders Lakes, which were split off from Undullah's eastern section in 2016, as well as the remaining Undullah locality itself.
Yes. We use A+ grade formulations safe for animals once dry, and plan treatment timing around paddocks so livestock aren't exposed during application.
Cost depends on property size and the amount of native timber boundary involved. We provide a fixed, written quote after inspection; larger properties take more time to assess properly.
Undullah is a rural locality split between the City of Logan and the Scenic Rim Region, roughly 70km south-west of Brisbane. Once a 30,000-acre pastoral run established in 1848, it now has just 24 residents following the 2016 split that created the newer suburbs of Monarch Glen and Flinders Lakes from its eastern section. The native ironbark country that gave Undullah its name remains its defining feature, and it's central to how we plan every visit here.
