Austinville is a hinterland suburb in the Gold Coast, covering about 20 sq km. It is located between Mudgeeraba and Springbrook.
The Mudgeeraba Creek flows through the suburb, with the Nimmel Range on the horizon. It also features rainforests, with the southern portion protected within Springbrook National Brook.
As of 2016, it had a population of 356 people.
It started as a banana plantation in 1934, making it one of the oldest suburbs in the Gold Coast. The original settlement was short-lived. Most families left the area, allowing rainforest to grow back. The suburb is still dominated by the surrounding conservation area.
